1967 Decoding Help
I want to see if I can finally figure out "where and what " I have. The Photo is of the original warranty cards and I'm not sure about that little aluminum plate. Plastic plate is a buck tag I believe.
U15 = Wagon Long Roof N = 289 L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant A15383 = September 1966 build (August A0 - A13,999 September A14,000 - A27,999) M = Exterior Paint Code White A-1619 (Wimbledon?) 51 = District Code Denver
078 = ? U152 = ? (U152 is heavy duty GVWR) 98 = ? (Long roof Wagon Top) A52 = Locking 4.11:1 Locking Front C = ? (Manual transmission 3 Speed) 51463 = ? (51463 is special order in 51 DSO area (Denver). 463rd order in that DSO that year.) 03-18-67 = assume purchase date 1A = ? 111 = ?
If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
Rick

Re: 1967 Decoding Help
U152 is heavy duty GVWR. 98 is wagon top. C is 3 speed manual trans. 51463 is special order in 51 DSO area (Denver). 463rd order in that DSO that year. Don't know the others but there is a thread on CB that may help. https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showt ... p?t=152983

Re: 1967 Decoding Help
Thanks Phil - that's a great thread.
The buck tag has MIR = Mirror HTR = Heater BSDP = seems there is debate as to if this is "Bucket Seat Driver / Passanger", "Bucket SeatS Dash Pad", or "Bench Seat Dash Pad" LGROOF = Long Roof M = Wimbledon White

Re: 1967 Decoding Help
https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showp ... stcount=64This is the interior trim code on the VIN/warranty tag on the kick panel for 66's, not sure if it still applied to 67s

Re: 1967 Decoding Help
This applies to 66 and 67. Trim and body code is combined. For example, 798. 7 indicates the trim, left and right front buckets. 98 is the wagon body code (96 is roadster, 97 is halfcab).
1 is front bench seat. 6 is left bucket only. 7 is both front buckets. 9 is both front buckets and rear seat.

Re: 1967 Decoding Help
Thanks Phil & Gunni - I think you are correct. The VIN plate shows 998 - so my guess is this was originally both buckets (but no rear seat, no holes for it and a bulkhead).
My shop manual shows "9" as parchment vinyl (driver & Passenger bucket seats)
