Post Timing changes by itself?
I had the Bronco tuned pretty well after I put in a new dual point distibutor and got it all setup correctly. About a month later (yesterday) I noticed it bogging down in 2nd gear again when I hammer it. This is exactly what was happening before (with the old dizzy). I haven't checked the timing yet (will do that tonight) but I bet that it's off again. Also, I've noticed the idle is high (no change to carb adjustment lately). The bolt on the dizzy is tight so it can't move. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yours is mad at you because you never take it on any play dates with other broncos.

Other than that - I have no idea at all.

I had a similar problem but mine was more immediate and the timing was changing after 5 mins of driving and as it warmed up. Also had the Idle higher etc and the timing was definitely changing.

A member here suggested I change the dizzy if there was slop in the shaft which I had. The new dizzy fixed it, until the gear on the dizzy shredded the cam gear due to my ignorance on the what type of gear I needed for the Cam I was running.

You might want to pull the dizzy and check the gears on both the cam and dizzy for wear.
