Post Good Mechanic and insight
So....I had my carb rebuilt and was driving my 71 daily, but the throttle kept sticking, or so I thought. I got some choke cleaner and sprayed all my throttle components but the engine was still revving like my foot was on the gas when I depressed the clutch. Sitting in traffic this morning, I basically burned up my clutch. I put it in neutral to see if the high rpm idle would come down. When traffic started to move, the clutch basically went to the floor board way to easily and I couldn't get it into gear. Did I screw up my bronco worse than just a clutch? I feel like an idiot for not getting it looked at sooner bangtard . Does anyone know a good mechanic, possibly in the Littleton/Lakewood area that is reasonable and trustworthy?

Also, the wife is tired of me trying to work on and drive the bronco so I'm in need of a cheap daily driver if anyone has one of those laying around.

The high rpm should not have burnt the clutch unless it was dragging in the first place. As far as the carb goes you probably have a bad thermal choke spring. Mine needs a quick punch of the hrottle for the rpms to drop once it warms up.

I'm with HIX, higher rpms won't kill your clutch unless it was on it's way out already. Sometimes you can adjust your clutch to get some more life out of it. But it could also be gone...
