Just wondering if I should use some sort of heavy duty adhesive on the braces inside the top of my eb or should i spot weld them . It looks as if they were glued originally but im not sure. If I do glue what should I use I was thinking Liquid Nails

Add some type of insulator between them and the top and glue. Check a paint supply house for their recommendation.

Re: Glue or weld inside top braces ???
An autobody panel bonder would work just fine. You could glue the braces on, after it cures you could use an expanding 2 part foam to fill the braces. Autobody 2 part foam is minimal expansion, so it doesn't put extra pressure on the panels. 3M & SEM make these products, but you will want to find some that don't use a special (expensive) applicator gun. I know 3Ms stuff is good but the cheapest gun is like $75.00.

Re: Glue or weld inside top braces ???
Mine were broken off, and bent, and I had terrible noise. I didn't take my time and just got frustrated one day & ran sheet metal screws through the braces & top, and welded it together. I then just touched up the welds with some white primer & paint. Not a job I'm proud of, but I'm not worried about what the top of my top looks like, nobody sees it. And the rest of my truck is no beauty queen. It made a huge difference, nice to be able to drive without needing hearing protection. I swear getting rid of the rattles & bangs made it feel like it rides nicer, just because your ears aren't being assaulted all the time.
