Re: 351 install
Update- got it about 90% in. Can’t seem to get it the last half a inch back. It the torque converter that I can tell. Any ideas?
Also- if anybody knows the size of the bolts for the bell housing and which hole they go in I’d appreciate it! Smart guy here can’t remember which bolts go in which holes!

Re: 351 install
When you put the torque converter in you should have felt / heard 3 pronounced spots before it seats.

Re: 351 install
you might want to check the end of the crank shaft in case it has a pilot bearing in it not allowing the converter to seat in the crank.

Re: 351 install
Something not right there. Don't try to force it together with the bolts. You can break an expensive trans pump. Either converter is not all in or something else. What flexplate is it? C6 flexplate is different.

Re: 351 install
It’s a 28oz flex plate. It was a bit hung up on the torque converter. I just need extra hands at this point, somebody who’s done this.
