It's official-
We have the best, most amazing, increadible car club anywhere.
We came together here in my shop on Saturday morning, more of an all day open house, grab a tool, lend a hand, throw some sparks, tell a story, build a bumper kind of day. I have no idea how many showed up in the end. Some said 15, but if someone told me 25 I would not be shocked. The last final hold outs were Drew, Kirk and I and we pulled out of the lot at 11:53pm with 2 functional almost complete bumpers. Yes, we finally did allow Drew to come out and play with us at around 4 in the afternoon. I know we had some very cool rigs here too. I was a little busy trying to keep the breakers reset (Roger, I have your drill and hole saw's, I am holding them hostage until you come over and replace those weak ass breakers) and chasing sharp drill bits around to spend much time talking to many of you, but those I did, I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know. There will be another build or 2 or 3 or 17 here in my shop so keep the dirrections. We need a rear bumper part 2 in the next week or 2 just to wrap up Justin's I think with some of the expert fabricators in this club, and having already mostly completed 2 of them, if we start early we can have it done before noon then hit a trail for an afternoon run.
And yes, Front bumpers are on the list for later this spring or early summer. Start the thread - lets get a design up and figure out the details.
Yeah, I think this is a pretty good place for our major club builds. Plenty of room for several projects and a good place to hang out. The weather was perfect, left the door open so builders and bronco buddies alike could come and go. Even had a potential new member stop by who noticed all the rigs in the lot and asked "do you rebuild these old bronco's here? I have 2 of them" I explained the club and what was going on and told him to look us up on line, join up and join the fun.
Special thanks to Dan, Cody, Kirk, Justin, Chad, Roger and a few others who really stepped up and pulled the tools out, offered design advice and kept us moving forward.
