Possible snow wheeling over winter break
So at the last breakfast and the toys for tots events we had a little talk about doing a snow wheeling trip. We didn't come up with a time or day yet but most people said around Christmas to New Years. So I'm just posting this up to see how much interest there is. It will depend on weather as we don't want anyone crashing in bad road conditions to get to any trail heads. We were thinking either Yankee hill/miners gulch area or bunce school road. We are open to anywhere though I believe.

Re: Possible snow wheeling over winter break
Sounds like a good amount of people interested. I say post up your favorite place to snow wheel and I'll see what there is for snow as we get closer and then we'll go to best one snow wise. Also what weekend/ day works best for people?

Re: Possible snow wheeling over winter break
I'd be up for the trail we did a few years ago up by Central City or Bunce School Road. Others in the area rated low that might be fun with (if there is) snow: Gordons Gulch http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=317Penn Gulch http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=190Cool.

Re: Possible snow wheeling over winter break
I was just thinking, what's everyone's thoughts on snow wheeling this weekend? Does that work for anyone? Or were people thinking of a different day? I see tomorrow is a 90% chance of snow in Arvada. So we might have some snow up there.
Shawn those trails look good, we'll just have to check snow accumulations.

Re: Possible snow wheeling over winter break
Slaughter house has quite a bit of snow about 8 inches or more in spots. The wind has been causing some drifting. I'm open for Saturday this weekend. We got another 8" so it should be interesting
I'm game for anything just let me know

Re: Possible snow wheeling over winter break
Doesn't sound like a lot of people can go this weekend, might be better to wait till the following weekend to go. What's everyone's thoughts?
