2000 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0
Putting feelers out. I bought a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0 last year. I was expecting to put the motor, efi & trans into my 72. That is not going to happen now.
It has about 200k miles. Body is excellent (could sell to salvage yard to recoup some cost), interior is in good shape considering mileage. It leaks coolant from a head gasket (probably a cracked head I was told), but runs and drives. You could replace the head and have a pretty nice whole vehicle.
Does anyone want to buy the motor/efi/ecu/trans? Or the whole thing? I could bring it whole (ish), or the parts to Denver in May or June maybe. Or you pick up here in Gunnison.
Price negotiable depending on the parts wanted, work I do, delivery, etc. Very negotiable, I just want to get my money back, and get rid of this thing. I will probably take the rear axle & some brake parts for myself. Pics available if you want. I have a clean title signed by the PO.

Looks like the EFI stuff & serp stuff is spoken for.
Does anyone want the transmission? Block?

I'd take the block if you end up needing to scrap it. Of someone wants to use it for an engine give it to them.

If it get's scrapped, I'm in the market for the subwoofer in the r/r quarter panel. Mine is currently taking my road rage to the next level.

How much are you wanting for the trans? Is it out or still need pulling? Joe
