Post Lower cowl (drivers side)
Total long shot due to the fact that this is one of the common rust spots but I need the drivers side lower cowl. I haven't heard any good things about the piece from JBG so looking for an old cowl I can cut the piece I need out of and section it in. Would rather not spend the $200 on a full new cowl.

Thanks.

Adam

where exactly is the rust? the reason I ask is it maybe better/ easier to fab & repair the original. let me know, I have a bead roller and a small break

Same here, have a roller and break, can you post a pic of the infected area?

Well, it was bad but then I made it worse when I tried to fix originally. Here is what it was:

Here is my poor attempt to fix it:

When I was attempting to fix it, I didn't cut far enough into good metal and I just put too much heat into the panel when trying to fill in the small areas that blew threw. Basically, I want to take out the big flat area but need to make sure I get the fresh air vent done well. That and the hinge area.

I could easily create the template with posterboard and even cut out the shape in sheetmetal but was hoping someone might have something.

Thanks!
