I installed an on board air setup. It cost about 250 in total, so half the price of the ARB compressor I was considering.

I also found - and it will depend on your top and the fit - that using a door panel clip removal tool is nice as it makes the snaps last longer and pops them right off. I happened to have one from other projects and found it useful :)

NASCAR Mike, does he still go by that nick?, had some different style canvas attachment snaps on his locally made 1/2 cab soft top, something like this. They seemed to work well in the cold and looked like they’d hold up a bit better over time.

Top looks great!!

Having had tonneau covers on all my trucks, I knew to avoid snaps and velcro. There was two options that would work here assuming that there is some sort of channel mounted to the bedsides? This cover had an extruded aluminum channel that mounted to the bed. Then the cover had an extruded plastic hook attached to the fabric. This was great as there were no snaps and no velcro.

Here is the basic concept for this tonneau. It would have to be rolled 90 with the channel facing down to work for a bronco top.

What tightens the fabric? Perhaps I don't understand the install. If my assumptions are correct, this style of fastening wouldn't be any different than the snaps.

It is tight to begin with you pull it and snap it. Once the top is installed it has 2 turnbuckles on the rear bar that you can tighten when needed.

I snapped a front axle shaft this weekend. On a good note it was a stock shaft and I have been wanting an upgrade for years. I ordered the TBP "Trail Terminator" front axle shafts. The website advertises 60% stronger than stock. We shall see.
