Re: Mick's Stockish '68
Dropped the tank and installed a brand new sending unit, THANKYOU Eck!!! I Can watch my fuel disappear on the gauge in real time now!
Unbolted the top and dropped the windshield so I could put the hood latch U-bolt on the new to me hood.
Got rid of my garbage dash pad and installed a used (of course) ‘66 Dash pad in Fine condition!
Added more ‘70’s goodies to the Rig on the side windows of the top, old sliders from Grand Junction!
And finally we installed a brand new windshield with new rubber!!

Re: Mick's Stockish '68
Looks like the pitman arm could use a little bend to line up with TRE. If you bring it over we can take the torch to it and get it done. When the angles don't line up well they tend to eat the boot pretty quickly.

Re: Mick's Stockish '68
More fun, I bought a new to me engine, a ‘79 302 and I’m putting Edelbrock aluminum E-Street heads on it I’m going with the FiTech EFI system. C4 out for a rebuild and in typical Bronco fashion, the Dana 20 is out so sure what the heck, let’s rebuild it too Front seats are finally being recovered so once that’s done, with any luck I’ll have a pretty sweet daily driver on my hands A++ to my pit crew…CAM the RAM!!! ThankYou BUB!!

Re: Mick's Stockish '68
For those of you who don’t know me, I don’t pay anybody to work on my Bronco because they charge too much and you never get what you pay for!!
I would rather do something three times and screw it up while learning how to do it right than to fork out extra cash and not learn anything.
…..well played ‘68! Shame on you shame on me all that crap, tired of Effing with this transmission, I’ve installed two different transmissions three different times and I just wanna blow the damn thing up!!
I think for its punishment when I get it back, I will make it my vendetta to always park it next to a Jeep!!

Re: Mick's Stockish '68
Verdict from the trans shop was Wrong Flex Plate. Burnt through all 3 foreward gears. Right amount of teeth, just wrong design. Something about the Bowl or recessed part was pulling the Torque Converter out too far.
Any whooo, it's alive and kicking.... sorta. working on EFI now!
