Does anyone know what I should be looking for in a CB? I have been trolling Craigslist and plan on buying used. I am just looking for something that has good range in the mountains and doesn't cost a mint.

I was thinking about this one I will need an antenna as well, my understanding is the antenna is as important as the CB what should I be looking for?

Another good place to look, might be truck stops. My dad drives truck and I remember always seeing them when we would stop for fuel. Not sure of the prices, though. Might be a bit cheaper at Wal-mart.

I'm shopping for one as well, I went through a few truck stops last month and their prices were good and about equal to Amazon.

Ebay has tons all the time.

If you dont' want to buy before Sat, you can borrow one of my handhelds. Just need to bring AA batteries for it.

I'll bring a couple handhelds. One even has batteries in it but who knows how strong they are. It turned on at least, so they aren't dead.
