Well good news! BCB sent out the gas tank out a lot earlier than expected. Just received it a couple days ago. fire fire

That said, I've been out in the garage until midnight for the last week trying to make some headway. First a couple pics of the flares and emblems.

Got the new Centech harness almost finished up. The dash is almost done, headlights/taillights are done. Just need to finish the alternator/battery connections, windsheild wiper connections and mount the fuse box.

Also started mounting the gas tank. Anyone here mount a BCB tank on a 1977 frame? I have a few questions about the mounting brackets.

Nice work!!! Getting really close.

What questions do you have? Are there differences in a '77 frame compared to others?

77s didn't use a tank strap, they had a bucket/skid that the gas tank sat in. Looks like I can use at least 2 of the original mounting holes. Just wanted to know if thats a problem.

D - We were talking about ya last night, wondering how things were coming along. Cannot wait to see the pics, or even better, see that metallic paint in person! Really excited to see it.

Made a lot of progress with the wiring on Sat-Sun. With some much needed assistance from Viperwolf1 I was able to get the the Centech harness and Mustang harness integrated.

I ended up using an Explorer power distribution box. Looks kindof like a rats nest right now but should clean up nice with some harness wrap.

I forgot about the Inertia switch and I'm out of room on the pass side so I'm now waiting for a used switch and the combo coolant/windsheild washer resevoir from BCB. Will hopefully get those before next weekend.

Feels like I'm close, I really want to burnout !

Post Re: 72 restore/mild build
Just started her up for the first time in 2 1/2 years! What a feeling!

Had to run down a few problems, though. Half the relays I picked up for the JY were trash. O2/MAF senser relay and ECC relays were bad. Guess that teaches me a lesson.

Timing was a PITA too. Since my balancer is marked on the 2 o-clock side and I have the explorer front dress with the timing marker on the 11 o clock side i had to find TDC the old fashoned way and re-mark the balancer.

All said and done - I guess it was a good day. Didn't have to hunt down any electrical gremlims and didn't smoke the computer icon biggin

Now I just have to finish all the little stuff here and there.
