Chaos - I hear what you are saying on putting the Bronco back together. I thought that would be the funnest part of the project, but it does end up taking a lot longer to do everything than you think. I swore more putting it back together than any other part. It sucks to have all this nice new paint and be scared to have anything scratch it.

You really need to pat yourself on the back - it really looks amazing.

The warm weather makes it harder to not be able to drive your Bronco. It is definitely easier to work on the Bronco with an extra pair of hands. I have done the majority of my truck alone but I have been super lucky to have Zilla, Viper, ZOSO, Cortez, and Rox save my butt.

I really want to see your air cleaner - it looks menacing. Love it.

My axle is in! I followed one of the blogs on this sight and it worked thanks guys I'm feeling a little better now..I've also installed my tire rack and quarter rock guards..all that's left is plumbing my brakes and finishing up my power steering set up and some odds and ends and ill be ready to wheel!

Got my door inserts in took them into town to be painted,also got my full cage bikini top in,and ordered a set of 5 ion alloys 171 wheels which will be in this week..have 4 days off starting today and a friend said he would come over and help me make and install new brake lines and finish up the powersteering...its getting there..if all goes well Id like to hit eagle rock this month

Ok got the wheels in and on the rig they look sweet, all the brake lines are done, quarter guards done, power steering just waiting on a crankshaft pulley then it will be done..tomorrow ill install the harnesses and soft top,and start the 2 inch body lift..almost there and this rig is looking awesome fire fire

Well I ran into a small problem and I wanted some advice if anybody has any..I did that front axle swap on my bronco dana 44 with drums for a dana 44 with discs..I just opened the diff cover on both of them and the one with disc brakes I just put in has 4.10 gears...the one with drums I took out has 3.54s..so Id imagine my rear ford 9 inch has 3.54s in it right now..what I was thinking was I still have a ford 9 inch that is still in my donor bronco that I got the axle with the 4.10s out of...Im thinking I should just yank the gears out of the rear of it and throw them in my bronco and call them good..but I know the rear axle in my bronco at the moment is posi not to sure about the donor bronco just yet..guess what Im wondering is should I leave it like it is and just swap the front gears so it would remain 3.54 or should I keep the 4.10s and swap the rear gears...Im kinda thinking 4.10s sound better..other then that and waiting for a pulley still she will be on the road hopefully next week...

I have a C4, 33" tires, and 3.54 gears. My setup does good off the line on the street and great on the highway. It is a perfect streetable combo. However, I would do 4.10's if I needed to replace them, especially with 35's or if I went offroad. One thing I have noticed is that 3.54 and 4.10 gear ratios usually require different lockers/lsd, so if you change the gears you likely need to change the locker/lsd.

I am sure you have checked, but I will mention it anyway (since I am a newb and would want to be reminded) - verify the spline count on the axles before making a final decision. thumbs up
