Its crazy how the idea of one little project can turn in to a very long involved process.
I was getting complaints about there only being engine noise to listen to when taking the fam out so i purchased a stereo and some speakers.
I had been planning on making a modified dash to hold the stereo, my cb and gauges as well as move my glove box over to clear my cage.
Easy and quick right? not really.
the dash is baically finished being reconstructed but upon removing the old one realized what a mees the wiring is in there, so I have decided to clean all that up.
Also realizing that the speedo looks a little rough, pulled it apart and repainted the needles a nice bright orange and polished out the one cover plate inside the cluster.
Ya know that stock fuse panel looks to have gotten hot before, maybe i will just swap that out with a modern style blade fuse type.
hey i wonder if i fabbed my own glove box If i could get some more room vs using a stock sized one, its only time right?
I also need to cut holes for speakers in my rear 1/4 panels, that would be a good time to add some insulating material (sound and warmth) to that area. Heck while they are off I should just fab up the cubby holes I have been planning on getting too for awhile in the extreme rears, as well as 12v and 120 power outlets( planning on an inverter inside the panel switched on with just the plug visible to the outside.
wonder if my Bronco will be seeing the road anytime soon?
at this rate me thinks it may be a couple of weeks, how did this happen?
I was just installing a stereo.
