Anyone know the correct part number for a tapered roller rear wheel bearing for use with a BB rear end and 31 spline axles? I've got some sealed ones but am planning to go with the tapered bearing. After a bunch of research it looks like this is the better setup. I'm seeing the A20 National part number listed on CB, but Advance is showing the A35 set for a '76 with the 3300lb rated axle.

Could be a couple of things. The carrier bearings were good, but the pinion bearings were pretty loose and not in great shape. The other issue I discovered is that the PO was running tapered roller bearings with their normal outer seal, but also had the inner oil seal installed. Given the setup they were in remarkably good shape, but the little bit of gear oil that was in them was really black and nasty. I'm really glad I decided to not let that issue wait much longer, could have gotten exciting.
