Pick & Pull...Please keep an eye out for....
If anyone frequents the pick and pulls around Denver/Colorado Springs...keep an eye out for a serpentine setup on a 1996-2001 V8 Explorer or Mountaineer. I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

How much should I expect to pay at one of these places for the whole setup minus the water pump? There's a guy on CB.com that's selling the whole thing, minus the water pump for $300 shipped to CO.

300 certainly isn't a bargain
I am betting the P&P would be half that, if not less.
I might be hitting Stadium on Friday so I can ask.

Re: Pick & Pull...Please keep an eye out for....
I just spent two days at the 66th pick and pull last week pulling smog stuff, theres quite a few exploders sitting up there. I believe two 1992's a couple 1994's and a few more (as someone mentioned you can check the inventory on their site)... was looking to start pulling stuff for a serp as well.. if I head back up this weekend (they are open sat and sun.. ) I will post up. I will have to read up on what needs to be pulled for this as Iam still catching up ;)
As far as cost.. i would expect you would pay no more than $150 for that stuff..

Nice, thanks for the info. I have line on a setup from a member here but not sure on that yet. Here's what you need: 1996 - 2001 Explorer or Moutaineer V8 • Short timing cover and water pump with pulley • Passenger side alternator bracket with tensioner and lower idler pulley • Driver side power steering and A/C compressor bracket with upper idler pulley, power steering pump, and power steering reservoir • Clutch and fan All the bolts http://classicbroncos.com/tech/explorer ... conversion

so pretty much the front of the engine.. the more parts I could keep connected the better - they tend not to charge if the parts look like they belong there i have found ;)
ok i copied it to my phone.. if i head up there this weekend, which there is a strong possiblity i will post up.

Re: Pick & Pull...Please keep an eye out for....
Hit up Colorado Auto Parts Pick & Pull after the breakfast this morning. They had a few Explorers but no serpentine....there was one '97 Mountaineer and some of the brackets etc were on the ground...but missing some pulleys and other parts so not a very productive trip. Gonna try and hit up some of the other yards this week.

Re: Pick & Pull...Please keep an eye out for....
Thanks to Rox Crusher and a buddy.....they pulled the entire assembly from an Explorer at the Aurora Pick & Pull today. I just ran up there an got it. It's complete other than mounting bolts, the idler belt pulley, and the timing chain cover. Thanks Guys!! I may check that pick and pull I went to yesterday...but I did find the Ford part numbers and schematics for those bolts... download.jpg
