Damn that looks like deep mud - nice job Ferd! Any chance that was a 2 wheel drive Duramax to save a little face for us Bowtie guys?

Those would go on the page of sympathy. Or abuse, I'm not sure which. Definitely not on the page of shame.

When you pick up the new truck, we expect to see you pull something like this off.

Re: FERD F-TEEN THOUSAND STRIKES AGAIN!
Back in the early 80's I had a 4x4 Ford van. We had a heck of a snow storm and I was at work when a steel delivery got truck trying to pull into the yard. He had probably 20 k lbs on the truck and was stuck in a 3ft drift. The plant manager paged me to come to the front dock. When I got there he asked me if I could pull that truck out. I told him I'd give it a go. The truck driver told me I couldn't do it. Hooked up the chain and proceeded to drag him out of the snow drift. By the time I got him into the yard most of the shop was standing on the dock watching. After that whenever we had a big storm the boss always asked me to stay until everyone got out of the lot and on their way home. That 460 power was impressive.

Re: FERD F-TEEN THOUSAND STRIKES AGAIN!
The last blizzard we had in 06 I did that with a few trucks stuck in my apartment complex.

Re: FERD F-TEEN THOUSAND STRIKES AGAIN!
I think the best I ever saw was at my Dad's shop. He's a diesel mechanic and a loaded 18-wheeler got towed in and dropped in the front lot. They had to turn the dead truck around to get it into the bay. My dad hooked to it with his '68 Power Wagon in 10" of snow and pulled that truck around like it was on dry ground. I was impressed.
Zenzone - I am ready for a big storm too. I had so much fun blazing thru town pulling people out! But I almost got a ticket because denver was in a "State of emergency". It wasn't but 2 minutes later, we pulled the ambulance out of a gas station parking lot.

Re: FERD F-TEEN THOUSAND STRIKES AGAIN!
The first storm (was it '03?) we lived in an apartment complex in Lowry and my cousin and I were about the only ones getting around. Of the dozens of folks I pulled out, only one offered to pay. I kinda thought that was sad. I did it anyway because I loved it, but just amazing that we rarely even got a "thank you".
My best story from that storm was where they had plowed a big berm in the middle of Alameda and I needed to cross to get back into the apartments. Had to have been 4ft tall or so. There were guys in a honda sedan stuck across the street in the entrance to our complex. I pulled into a parking lot across the street from our complex, hit the gas, dumped the clutch and we flew thru that bank doing about 25. All the guys digging that Honda out were laughing!! Pulled them out real quick and went about my business.
The funniest was dragging a Miata from the street to the back of the complex where he lived. Pretty much plowed the street with his front bumper, but he wanted me to keep going...
