Anyone know of a good radiator rebuilder in south Denver area?

Performance Radiator stocks new radiators for the EB and have a good price.

I tried for a couple days trying to find a cheaper alternative to new but at the time, nothing available and rebuilding was just as much as new and of course took longer

you might around craigs list a bit if your willing to take the risk of a used one

Take a flashlight so you can get a good look down the filler opening.

Thanks guys. Mine is in decent condition but just tried to drain it and it's completely stopped up. So I ended up removing it completely.

When I bought my new one I did a lot of research.

I decided I wanted brass instead of aluminum in a high density 3 core arrangement.

BC Broncos does one but it is expensive and you have to send yours in for them to re-use the tanks and straps.

The guys at Performance Radiator stated that is what they were stocking / selling but when we took it out of the box they determined that this particular one was the standard 3 core arrangement and was the last of their old stock.

So far, I have liked it and it has worked without any problems.

Cool...thanks for the info guys. I think I will try to flush this one out and see if I can get the drain plug working. If I can, I'll keep using it until I decide to do a 351w down the road.

I have a customer/friend who owns a radiator shop in Colo. Springs that is really good. I don't know about his prices lately, but between my dad & I (before he was a customer of mine) we have had something like 8 radiators rebuilt by him & they are all still going. The last one I did was my EB & it was 8 or 9 years ago. The name of the shop is Manley's Radiator (719) 635-1663, the guy's name is Ron.

I bought the BC radiator to solve my cooling issues. So far it has been great. The overflow tube ended up not being soldered and leaked. Talked to BC and they said have someone fix it and they would reimburse. I ended up going to Gold Star Radiator. They were the only ones that would solder it while it was still in the vehicle. To me it was like a radiator shop I was used to. They will rebuild or hot tank it for you.

Gold Star quoted me $120 over the phone to rebuild and hot tank it....4-5 hour job. Not bad.

Ron quoted me around $100.

I need mine rebuilt before I put it back together and need a good place as well - let us know how the radiator turns out. I like the idea of a rebuilt for $100.00 vs. a new at $400.00.

So I flushed it out with water and still couldn't get anything to come out the drain. So I re-install it in the Bronco and am following the flush/cleaning process on the Peak Radiator Cleaner bottle. It states I need to drive it around fro 3-6 hours! That's going to be rough with a bikini top on:) At least my heater is working good. I'm hoping this stuff will dislodge whatever is stopping up the petcock.
