Post detroit locker
I have a Detroit locker that a friend of mine pulled apart to do some machining to due to a broke part. Can anyone point me in the direction of some i can go to, to have them put it all back together?

There is a guy named Dan in Erie. You can find him on CL under any search for limited slip, locker, 9" rear...on the front range.

I have not used Dan in Erie, but talked to him and he definitely knows his stuff. I am planning to drop my Ford 9" and get rid of the rear spool and add a LSD or Locker. Dan The Ford Man, 303-828-3910.

I plan on visiting this guys shop in the next week or two to discuss limited slip options. It may be far fetched but maybe he'd be willing to do a group discount, tech class, or something. If we have enough guys I can meet with him.

I met with Dan (Gear guy in Erie) this morning. He has quite a bit of knowledge and parts. I don't get the feeling he's a kind of guy that gives discounts or would be willing to do any kind of tech class. I do believe the prices he gives are reasonable. He will however buy / credit you any parts that he could use.

I went in with 2 limited slips. I was hoping between the two he could build one without having to buy more parts. I was there for about and hour as he and I went though the parts. Long story short, he said it would cost about $250 ($85 for labor and the rest in parts). There wern't very many salvagable parts that I brought in. Only two cases and one cap. My question for any of you would be--Do you think thats reasonable for a rebuilt LS?

Thanks!
