I thought I would start this thread as I see quite a few interesting and unique vehicles around Denver and always wanted to snap some pics of them and post them up. Anyway I will start!

There is a cool looking 1972 Volvo 1800 a few blocks from here that is in decent shape, i know they, like all 70's vehicles tend to rust out but I guess these ones are more prone then most. This one looks like a survivor but definitely needs some TLC.. kinda cool looking! Love the big glass lift gate on the rear.. very groovy.

Thats super funny, yesterday i passed a cool looking old blue volovo and thought the same, it had the same front end but, not the cool big back window.
I thought it looked kid of retro sporty, and could be fun eco-car. Im sure parts and layers of hiddden rust might get pricey.

Did you see the news report on that car? Consumer reports broke the thing on a test drive. The transmissions locked up on them. Had to get the dealer to tow it away.

Tesla had the same problem. Their car originally came with a 2 speed, but it couldn't handle the torque output so they ended up putting in a single speed. Saw one on Hwy 52 about a week ago turning out of that big subdivision right before the large hill that goes down to 119.

I also did not get my own pic, but saw one of these dudes on the Academy last Friday:

Saw a Ford GT yesterday sitting in front of some crappy food joint on Fillmore in the Springs yesterday.

Paced a Ferrarri 458 for about a mile down 8th St in Denver yesterday. Those things make a beautiful sound. It was fun watching him try to dodge all the potholes. For $250,000 you'd think it would lay down new pavement as it went.

I have seen this in CycleWorld Magazine, but cool to see one in person. I know it is way new, but still so retro and cool.

Bringing this one back from the grave. Spotted while driving past the Jiffy Lube up the street. 1940's Chevy truck sitting on a 3/4 ton Dodge frame and driveline. 24V Cummins under the hood.

This is a co. in Trier, Germany that soups up BMW X6's and this one was awesome. I hope so, because in taking this picture, I dropped my phone shattering my screen which cost me $100 to fix!


Renault Twizy Electric car:


This is from our little vacation to Switzerland, although I have seen them other places. Looks like nothing more than a glorified rototiller. It is street legal tho only on side streets.


not too good with my European army vehicles, so I am not quite sure what this is. Smaller than a unimog, but larger than a pinzgauer. Could be just a more modern Pinz than I am used to. Also in Switzerland.

These were taken back in Feburary of 2011 only a few days apart.

The Bugatti was parked on Arizona just west of Colorado. While I and another guy were taking a few pictures, the owner walked out of McDs with a cup of soda, hopped in the car and took off. Must be nice to not care about food or drink in your million dollar car.

The Aston Martin was parked in a King Soopers parking lot. Didn't get a chance to see exactly which model it was. The driver for some reason wasn't too happy that I took a picture of it.

I've seen a lot of different cars on the road, usually unable to pull out the camera phone quick enough. I did see a Tesla Roadster downtown one day, had my camera ready but couldn't bring myself to take the picture...of the woman in the drivers seat fratically calling someone because the car died. Lol, sucks when the battery dies and you can't tow the car like you can other cars because of damaging the motors or having to wait 14 hours for a full charge. Concept of the car is great...reality not so much.

That may be Ralph Lauren's Bugatti. I saw it about a year ago on I-25. He's got a ranch outside Denver and sometimes drives it into the city.

I don't think it was Ralph Lauren as the guy was much younger. It might have been his son.

Cool stuff. the AM looks sweet! The Veyron is cool too, just completely unreachable by anyone I know.

I gotta get some pictures of the sport model "smart" car. You've all seen the tiny 2-door sedans driving around, but they make a sports car looking one too. Know nothing about it, but still wouldn't own one.

Here is one I walk by every time I deliver a car to our private airport. Its got license plates, so I think it counts. I know I've wanted one for years.

Chad, I've always wanted one as well. But then I'd need that remote mountain cabin to justify it! But it'd be so fun!

I've always thought a cabin that required 35's to reach would be a nice thing to have.

Wal-Mart isn't only interesting for the people you see inside the store but also the cars in their parking lot.
