I can't imagine the hose was the culprit either.
A pinched steel line I could see that but not a rubber hose.

It wasn't a night / day change. It was just a good improvement. The center hose was starting to deteriorate on the outside and it was the only hose (other than steel) not replaced during the disc conversion. I don't know of any other test other than replacing MC / or calipers. My understanding about the H block is it doesn't change pressure but directs the fluid.
And Viper- No, my butt makes the Levi's look PHAT.

My assumption when I read this was that the hose was deteriorating inside and that some little piece of crud was hanging up when the fluid reversed direction. Greg, you're right about the H block. It isn't a proportioning valve.
