3 speed manual wont go into 2-3

 3 speed manual wont go into 2-3 Finally got everything back in and now it won't go into 2-3. It a 3speed on the collum and the linkage is free. I can move 1-reverse by hand but 2-3 wont budge and I do not want to put to much pressure on it. Suggestion are greatly apperciated. JP

1972 Sport, 302, 3 speed with old school Duff floor shifter, T shift Dana 20 with JB Fab twin stick, 4.11 gears with Trac-loc, Lincoln hydroboost, Chevy disc conversion, WH gas lift gate shock kit, 33" Duratrac tires on slots and about 2.5" of lift, Stroppe installed: bumper braces, dual shocks on all four corners, GM power steering, trans cooler mount, auto shift column, rollbar.

Re: 3 speed manual wont go into 2-3 I hope it isn't as it is the one I just got from airbur attached to a 302 that was working. I have not had time to mess with it since friday but if anyone has any ideas what I can do to figure this out, your input is greatly apperciated. Thanks JP

3 speed manual wont go into 2-3 Well, my first suggestion would have been to pull the top cover and have a look see at what is hanging up.
Just for giggles, you are manipulating the shift levers in a R-N-1/3-N-2 fashion, correct? Middle position being neutral, gears to either side.

Re: 3 speed manual wont go into 2-3 On the shift levers it goes freely into r-n-1 and will not move at all into 2-n-3. Pulling the top cover is going to be a PIA as it is already installed!!! I will do what I need to tho to get it back up and runnin. Thanks JP

3 speed manual wont go into 2-3 What did you do to my tranny?! I had no prob shifting it the day I took the video for you.....ran it around the city a bit to make sure everything was in good working order before I pulled it.
Maybe an issue with how the clutch linkage is setup?
