Re: 35" BFG KM2s -Denver 650 OBO
Those are gonna be many years old, they haven't made the KM1's for years, and it looks like they've been siped

Not so tempting anymore.

What's wrong with them? I have a call into the guy and I don't want to buy junk.

Re: 35" BFG KM1s -Denver 650 OBO
Mostly they're old. They haven't made the KM1s for a very long time. Check the date of manufacture stamped on the sidewall. Some places won't touch anything more than 10 years old. $650 is a steep price for them. Last quote I got from B.O.B. for tires wasn't _that_ much more for new in the same size. Admittedly, that was almost a year ago, but....

What do you think would be a fair price. That's if they are not to old and hold air. I'm planning on trading my weatherby 270 plus cash.

Re: 35" BFG KM1s -Denver 650 OBO
I probably wouldn't pay over $400 for them, and that might be high. Tire Rack has new KM2s for $860 for four, and Costco probably isn't far off that. If I were going to spend $650 for tires, I'd ante up the other $150-200 for new ones. They look like they're in decent shape overall. The siping can be a mixed bag. It can give tires better grip on smooth surfaces like rock, but can also increase chunking off road.

I paid $250 for a set of 4 with wheels last fall. Mine have 50% tread left though.

I wouldn't buy new tires without checking with B.O.B. first. He is able to get about anything you want at prices lower than anywhere. He also discounts the mount and balancing which is the icing on the cake.
