Post Clutch issues
Driving home from the races last Saturday something has gone wrong in the clutch. I've been fortunate over all the years I've driven a clutch that the worst problem I've had is clutch chatter so I'm a bit in the dark as to what the problem is. I'm running an NP-435/5.0L with the Advance Adapter.

Here are the symptoms:
-Tranny in gear/clutch pedal fully depressed the Bronco will still crawl-pretty sure the clutch is not disengaging.
-Shifting very difficult when running-I pretty much had to force it into 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears. 1st gear and reverse impossible, just grinds (however, when the bronco is not running the tranny will go into gears easily & smoothly).
-There is no excessive play in the clutch, it still has ~1-inch at the top. It does feel different when pressed, maybe softer feeling is the best way to describe it.
-Might be unrelated but it developed quite an oil leak on Saturday. I haven't had time to track down exactly where from yet but first look it seems between tranny/bellhousing.

Any thoughts on problem/cause/remedy?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Sounds like it needs to be adjusted a little bit. Clutch isn't disengaged. Crawl under it and see if you have bent the linkage. Then check to see how much room there is between the throw out bearing and the pressure plate. You want it to almost touch. If there is some slop there adjust it out and try it again.

Miles on the clutch? ANY oil leaks in the back of the motor that could affect the clutch? Either way, sounds as though you are not engaging the clutch or the clutch is worn out or oily.
