So this is the engine I did the EFI SD EFI swap on a couple years ago. It is from a Grand Marquis, so I know not a real power house, but it should be better that stock.

It has always used oil, which I have always thought was rings. But it does not smoke.
On the one cold day we had, it did not start - 29 degrees.

But, when i do a compression test all cylinders are at 125 +/- 5.

I found another motor, but dont mant to waste my time if I am missing something. Also it has always had bad emmisions test - high on both.

Plug color looks good, but they look worn (rounded electrodes), If they all look the same then the oil usage is coming from somewhere else. If it's high on emissions then something is up with the fuel system.
