71 Bronco body, frame, and exoskeleton -SOLD
I'm a little hesitant to put this up, as I am making a move on it. But if it doesn't happen for me, I'd like someone in the club to score it.

Re: 71 Bronco body, frame, and exoskeleton -500.00 Monument
Just got off the phone with him. Going up Saturday to put cash in his hands. Selling point for me was it comes with title. Sounds like I'm goin to have a trail beater soon. Now I just have to find a trailer to go get the damn thing!

Ha! Maybe if I cut off the exo I can get the purchase price back in scrap steel.
Guy was running Rockwells and 46's under it with a 351. Tires are up for sale too but way too big for me. Didn't ask about the 351.

Let me know if you need help with anything beyond the trailer. I'd be more than happy to help. Can you do a tow-behind?

No axles so flat haul on a trailer is the only option.

guess it would have helped if I actually looked at the CL ad. Sorry-- started my holiday a little early with a few frosty adult bevs.

Holy exo-cage, batman! Hang a swing under the main hoop. It'd make a great jungle gym for your kids. If you cut it up, I'll buy some of the scrap off you. I want to do a bunch of welding practice.

Re: 71 Bronco body, frame, and exoskeleton -500.00 Monument
I'm thinking, solely off the pics, that if I cut things just right I can have a decent set of tube bumpers. Maybe section the parts that look a little too wide to fit IN the Bronco and turn it in to a roll cage of sorts. I dunno. Need to get my grubby little hands on it first.

Spoke with him very briefly about that. Looks almost like a flipped leaf with the leaf eyes used as the pivot points. Seeing as I will very likely be starting from scratch up front, I'm thinking I will be giving Clint a call for a radius arm kit. I know I haven't even picked it up yet, or even paid for it!, but I am thinking full width 3/4 ton axles, 8x6.5 bolt pattern, with Hummer beadlocks and 37s.

Let me know if you want the stock front radius arms too (free). This dude is going to scrap Friday afternoon.

How is tire selection for the 16.5 hummer wheels? They're wicked, but doesn't it pretty much limit you to the mediocre hard-as-nails military Wrangler MTRs? Also, holy crap!: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearc ... meter=16.5Aren't they supposed to be really inexpensive somewhere?

Meh, as stiff as those things are supposed to be you could probably run them with no air.

Re: 71 Bronco body, frame, and exoskeleton -SOLD
Paid for the "Bronco" today. It's in pretty poor condition, body-wise. But then again, what was I expecting for 500? All of the exterior panels have been coated in Duraback. Most of the bed and rear wheel wells is gone. And the exo, well, the welds are not that great on them. 50/50 right now as to whether I keep it or part it out. Need to have a better look at it once I pick it up.
Pluses are: Power brake set up in it Most of the wiring Heater box Auto column with lower steering shaft Tailgate (kinda cheesy along the bottom) Dash is pretty much complete with gauges and knobs/switches
