Okay, anyone happen to know if there were ANY mid-90's F250s that would have had a D60 front axle in them? I'm thinking not, but I've got a guy selling a 5.8 powered, 5 speed, 4x4 F250 who is telling me it has a solid axle up front. I'd like to debunk this prior to making the drive to look at it. IIRC, there was no such animal. However, there is the possibility that maybe someone swapped one in later? Or ped another cab on the truck? This price is right enough for me to consider it, considering the motor and axles, if correct, would knock out a few purchases I have been considering for some time. Granted, it's a 93, so not a roller block (unless I am mistaken), but I think I can live with that.

Wish I could answer some of your questions, but I cannot. I just want the trans if its a ZF. I've decided the against a 4R70W and am looking for an affordable ZF close to home. Sorry to hi-jack, got a 5 speed addiction right now.

I believe there was a F-250 H.D. model that had a Dana 60.So its possible.

if you go the D60 route and the truck is a mid to late 90's (roller capable)i would be looking for a 351w.. if you part out and go that route ;)
