Post Track bar for F U L L W I D T H A X E L S
Ok folks, silly question time.

On my build I am using a full width D44 front. I have a spare stock track bar from an EB as well as the track bar from the donor 79 bronco. The early bronco one is waaayyyy to short and the full size one seems to be about 4 inches two long.

So what do you all recommend? Do I cut down the full size bar? Do I need to build one from scratch? A quick scan of a few of the vendors and I did not see anything from them.

I have reached out to WH asking them for recommendations in terms of a complete suspension. It will be interesting to hear what they come up with.

Rtreads is running full width, see what he did. Maybe an option is to move the mount on the axle.

You can remove the stud on the axle but remember ideally the dragline and track bar need to be about the same length and parallel.

You can easily make your own try partsmike.com 1 ton ends weld in bungs. Local dom

A custom dom bar with rod ends would work. I cut the fame end off my stock bar, ground the cut end down a little, so it fit into 1" ID Dom. Welded about 1' of DOM to the end with a rod end and high misalignment from Ruffstuff. It is in my axle swap thread, but I don't know how to link threads from my phone. Hell, l I can barely get my phone to type the right words.

Here it is, should be on this page.

I used the stock bar because it had the bend in it. My frame bracket is 'behind' the axle mount, so the bent track bar fit better. Still needed a high misalignment joint, or the angle wouldn't have worked.

Easier & less headaches if you just call Anthony at Stone Crusher and get him to build one.

We have a number of products here where I work that use various lengths of DOM tubing that has 18mm internal threads on both ends as well as threaded rod ends to match and that use urethane bushings.

If you can tell me what length you need within the nearest inch, I may be able to make one up for you here. I would also need to know what the bolt diameter that goes through the original bushings. I could do it for what it would cost me to buy the parts.

I have attached a representative picture of one of these arms.

I've got my old one I cut down and sleeved you can have if you want, or you can call Clint at battlement fab and have him build one just like the one he built for me with heim joints on both ends

I sent WH an email asking this question. they said pretty much the same things... Cut and sleeve the long one, or build a custom one (which they offered to do) but either way - hold off until I have the final lift in place. And of course they recommended using one of their sweet track bar lift brackets to keep the geometry correct.
