It's not so much a Christmas bonus as it is I have the itch to buy another gun.

Do any of you guys reload? I have been thinking about getting into it...could use some advise....

I used to reload shotgun ammo for hunting but that was years ago.

Don't know a thing about it, but I'd love to learn as well. If only to defer some of the costs for buying over the counter.

Phil mentioned that he reloads, I'd definitely be up for learning it as well, sounds like a tech class!

So much cheaper in the long run to reload. My dad and I reload. Only thing I dont load is shotgun.

I've got probably a 150 rounds of 45 ACP someone else loaded that I'm never going to shoot if someone wants it. Normally I'd keep it, but I don't like the idea of shooting someone's reloads. Well, someone I don't know.

Its all in the books. Pick up a lot of books about it. All the load data. Then it's just a matter of taking your time. I might be able to convince my dad to give pointer's. He's done a lot more loading than me.

Can anyone recommend a good gun smith? I inherited a Japanese Type 99 rifle from WWII that has been rechambered, but I have no idea what it was chambered for. I found a gun smith here in the springs at one of the high falutin' gun ranges, but he wanted a hundred dollars. I've heard of one in Black Forrest, but never found him.

I swung by Prairie Arms a few days ago, looked like a nice place, they said they'd have their range up and going soon.

Very comparable price to the DPMS I bought a few years ago.

Bushmaster also has a pretty good reputation. I know several of the more specialized guys from the NATO countries are using them. I didn't get any first hand experience with the ones the Czechs have, as they were in for services when I was there. But their CZ58s were a damn fun gun to shoot as well as their new .338s.

Pretty damn slick. Sticker price is a little scary, but certainly cheaper than a tax stamp.
