Post CCB's Lyons flood Recovery part 2
Here's just a quick recap of CCB's return to Lyons for some volunteering.

We (73_Sport, kinder, Justin and Gregg) met at the Gregg household for some coffee and donuts. After kinder warmed up we headed into Lyons to get our assignment, tools, and heart ons. Our first location was a house that had a basement in need of some demolishing. First we emptied out the existing piles of debris and then starting making bigger piles of debris. We hit it almost as hard as Drew on Miller Rock. We were breaking sh$t everywhere and hauling it out. Basically, the owner wanted all drywall and non-load bearing (well, mostly non-load bearing) wood ripped out including the ceiling, and doorways. We made killer progress in a relatively short period of time. By 12:30 we wrapped it up and hit The Stone Cup for some awesome ruebens samiches. About 1:00 we split off. Some of us went to the next assignment further up hwy 7 and spent the next couple hours removing debris from the bottom of once submerged trees. It's pretty amazing how many people were working on this and how little it showed. Sorry I don't have picks of the second site. I was happy when they said to wrap it up. I wanted to get back to the Stone Cup for the beer I eyeballed earlier. Chris was kind enough to sit with me so I wasn't drinking alone. We finished our beverages and headed out of town.

Awesome job CCBers. The town of Lyons really appreciates it. They definitely know us and welcome us.

Good times. The piles of crap (not the people) are what we tore out of the basement.

Just wanted to chime in and say "Good Work!". I've been watching these threads and admire the effort you guys are making for your neighbors in need.

At the same time I'm grateful my little part of Colorado doesn't need help. We are very lucky to have dodged the fires & floods of the last few years.

I'm not sure, but I think next year we're due for either plagues of locusts or having the rivers turn to blood.
