My Rock Buggy *Feeler*
I think it's time to sell the buggy, let me know if anyone here is interested before I post it elsewhere. I know many folks have seen it, but for those who have not it's a total tube chassis I built myself, primarily out of 1.75" .125 wall DOM, with EB skins on it. Is it perfect, no it isn't, but it's also not $100K. Engine is a '96 Explorer 5.0, FRPP 12071-A50 EFI harness, A9P EEC, 65mm TB, 70mm MAF, EGR delete, Explorer accy, Howe Racing TC PS pump, '96 BB shorty headers with the HEGOs in the collectors, two:one exhaust exiting the back. All the electronics are on a hinged shelf that drops down on the passenger side, includes an amp that powers the speakers. Tranny is a built C-6, HD everything, wide ratio gears so 1st is 2.84:1 instead of the 2.40, Broader performance full manual/reverse valve body with engine braking, Winters (aka Art Carr) shifter with correct gate for shift pattern. Atlas 4 speed transfer, 1. 0, 2.0, 2.72 or 5.44:1 ratios. NWF triple cable shifter. 1310 U-joints front and rear, 32 spline outputs. Short output, ie no spedo provision. Front axle is a cut down HP KP D60, 60" WMS, shaved 1.25" off bottom, 4.10 gears, ARB, 35 spline inner/outer, drive slugs, Independent 4x4 braided stainless air lines, 5x5.5 BP shaved hubs with Blackbird brackets and single piston brake calipers (aka F150 style). Rear axle is a stock BB EB 9", 58" WMS, Tru-Hi9 with 35 spline Spool and 4.10 gears, 1310 Yoke, extra load bolt, drum brakes. Full hydro steering, double ended ram with high steer arms on the D60, orbital valve under hood (the kind that steers when you don't have it running), lines are sized right and it has a nice cooler as well. Warn 6K SDP winch with synthetic rope, sits behind grill. Roughly 103" WB, About 19" of clearance under the belly pan and 74" tall at the top of the cage. 4 link, double triangulated suspension front/rear, Radflo 2" reservoir coilovers, 14" travel up front, 16" in back. rear suck winch in case, if you want to change your anti-squat the rear upper front link mounts are adjustable (IIRC I'm at 85%, last I ran the numbers), the rear does not unload on descents, five 39.5" Krawler Red tires on 17" wheels, Staun beadlocks, custom 10 gallon fuel cell with sender, rock lights front/back, Hella 500 Black Magic headlights, OBA with 1 gallon Viair tank, vacuum PB, bikini top that fits, PRP seats (both have seen better days), trailer style lock box in back and room for a cooler or tool box, tilt steering column, steering wheel un-pins to remove, more I'm forgetting. This buggy flat out rocks. It'll do Penrose in 45 minutes, Carnage BV in about the same, climb the Devils Hot Tub in Moab, etc... Wheeled all day long through Prichett Canyon and Behind the Rocks and drove back to the CG at 75 MPH with one hand on the wheel. If you add up all the parts on it you'll know they would cost more than I'm asking and you'd still only have a pile of parts, not together and working well. I'm looking for $20K out of it, might be interested in trades. YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq605Ygm-RslKVf-tnqXKpAJoe

Re: My Rock Buggy *Feeler*
I saw this thing run the hot tub in Moab last year. A very capable rig for sure.

Re: My Rock Buggy *Feeler*
20K seems like a good deal for that beast... Wife needs new wheels, she would kill me if I got that for her!
