Antiquers?
Anyone out the collect or deal antiques? Just curious as I've just come across an early 1900's Quick Service cigar display case from Waddell and Company. Solid oak with marble pieces along the bottom. Sitting in a thrift store. Not planning to buy it ($1500.00) but still interesting.
I've got a few family pieces at home. 1800s cedar chest and 1800s oak framed mirror.

Re: Antiquers?
We do, mainly because we bought an old 1930's house and want to decorate it with period pieces. However my aunt has a bunch of booths around Colorado and actually makes good money selling antiques. She's bringing in $900-$1300 a month on each booth. She goes to Kansas auctions in the winter to restock. We were in Arkansas last summer and Branson Missouri - the antique stores there were cool, but the prices were sky-high! $80 for a 70's Tonka dump truck! My friend has a antique store here in Grand Junction on Main street. He said his sales last month were $16K. In case you haven't heard it, here's the Thrift Shop song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK8mJJJvaes&feature=kpJ.E.

Can't say I'm a fan of hip hop but that was pretty entertaining.
