Re: project viperwolfe is starting
My original rockers was a badly made replacement. I swapped it out when I repaired some crash damage prior to my owning it to properly align the door seam. It'll get cut for rocker protection, but I want the parts that will stay repaired properly first.

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Just an FYI, there are still thousands of dollars needed before this project is complete. All of us benefited from Phil's knowledge, expertise and most of all generosity. All of us need to reach deep down in to our pockets and give a healthy donation. Show Phil the same respect he has shown us.

Here's the link to the donation site again. https://fundly.com/project-viperwolf1It's up to 1,320 as of now. I wonder how quickly we can double it ?

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
I wanted to ask permission to post this up on the CCB Facebook site. I think it could add exposure & help get this truck built, but I know everyone isn't wild about social media.

Jeremy, you may have a good alternative to paying, I'll see if I can get something going with it.
Chad, I say go for it. There are a lot of people of Facebook that I think would contribute.

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Chad, I see your point about putting it in the public domain, and I think that Viperwolf should weigh in with his viewpoint on that. I like the idea but I think the folks most likely to contribute are on CCB and CB.com. If we want to appeal to more people that he has helped in the past, but that aren't currently active on the site, maybe a mass email to all CCB members with a link to this thread would do the trick. Phil has always lent everyone a hand without any expectation of anything in return. Having benefited from his generosity greatly myself made contributing a no-brainer for me. But more than that, I continue to be amazed at how giving and generous with his time and knowledge he has been to everyone. If you haven't seen the CB.com thread here is the link. You can see that many others have made contributions, including a certain local EFI Guru. Thank you EFI Guy ! http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showth ... p?t=245909And there are a lot of things being discussed in the background that will be amazing contributions. So thanks to all those who are involved, especially 777Mechanic who is spearheading this thing. I have faith that Bronco Karma will kick in and people will overwhelm the project with a "pay it forward" contribution. Wait.........how the hell did I get up on this soap box ? Thanks everyone for whatever you can do to contribute !

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Today was a good day, pulled a 1998 Explorer harness complete with the transmission harness and computer. Rounded up a 1976 bronco steering column and collapsible steering shaft, both in excellent condition. Also rounded up a clean passenger door and dash with a Ranger glove box door. If anyone has a clean drivers door with all the hardware and trimmings, please let me know. Don't forget that donations are greatly appreciated! This is Phil's dream Bronco, help him realize his dream!!!https://fundly.com/project-viperwolf1

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Looking good! I wish I could have joined in the fun. I'm just a little too buried in harnesses to have any play time.
Speaking of...Can we get Phil's harness and PCM loaded on a parts train to the Platte River meet? I plan on being there.

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Mike, I know we talked about it today but refresh my memory on exactly what Phil is wanting with the 5.8 roller Block. Was it just the block, connecting rods and crank or was there more than that? As I said, I will give you the one I have if that is easiest but another option would be just acquiring another complete short block which I can probably gather in short order. If I'm up to date on what is needed, phil already has the intake. How about heads? Is he going aftermarket or do we need to be on the hunt for some GT40's? I'm going to guess an explorer front dress is also in the plans, do we have the parts for that yet?
