CB speaker in wiper cover ?
I want to ad a flush mounted speaker to the wiper cover.
If possible, it would be in the area right above where the visor rods go into the wiper cover.
Does anybody happen to know if there is room in there or is the wiper motor and linkage right up tight to the cover ?

I haven't done it so my advice is worthless, but...
The linkage itself is fairly tight to the window frame, if you keep the speaker small'ish and it is truly flush mounted or shallow I'm sure you could get away with it.

Like this? But this is not a stock wiper motor cover. It's homemade out of a 5" gutter.

I love it. But why not use the old dash speaker hole?

Re: CB speaker in wiper cover ?
My hearing isn't the best so I want the speaker as close to my big Ol noggin as possible.

Re: CB speaker in wiper cover ?
Just a thought, but have you thought about wake board tower speakers? Mount'em right behind your head on the rollbar?
I'm sure you have! Sounds like you're just trying to do something unique that no one else has.
Make sure to post up when you figure it out so we can be unique too!

Re: CB speaker in wiper cover ?
Well, the other thing I have been considering is how to mount my CB with an external speaker up in the roof area.
Problem is I only have a roll bar, so no front hoop to use as a mounting point for a couple tubes that would run back to the roll bar hoop. I suppose I could figure out a way to mount them to front windshield.
If I did it this way, I could have that CB speaker mounted right between driver and passenger heads.
Any other ideas, I'm all ears ?

Re: CB speaker in wiper cover ?
There are some nice roll bar clamps, a Google search should show a bunch, and you could make a nice bracket that attaches to the top of the windshield frame. Then source some nice angle or flat stock, I'm thinking aluminum, and run them from the clamps to the bracket and you're practically done.

Re: CB speaker in wiper cover ?
I'd use a piece of 1.5" angle bolted to the top of the windshield with two 1-1.5" tubes running back to the roll bar. A piece of 3/16 flat plate between them would make a great mounting plate.
