Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
Iam looking for a newer style 5 gallon jerry can for fuel. I had an old metal one but the spout was a pain in the butt and it was a bit beat up. Looking at these:
and this
Don't want the crappy new CARB compliant stuff.. love one that pours real nice. I know you military types are also horders.. figured you might have a line on a NATO can or something ;)

I use a NATO style can, they flow just slightly better than the old Blitz cans, I'm going to pick up one of these and just leave the can on the rack. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZO ... B000BG1X54

I've seen them at military surplus stores before, you could call a couple and see if they have them in stock.

Re: Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
Jax has those green ones. I bought a 2 gallon one a couple of years ago there. My seal with the spout attaches leaks pretty badly, The regular seal is fine though. I've yet to take the time to attempt to fix the spout seal but I'm sure I could.

Re: Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
I think I still have one in storage. That being said I quit selling them because of the leak factor. they are what most of the mall crawler over landers like because of the look. The Scepter military cans are far better.

Re: Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
If you don't mind a used one I can sell you one for $30. both the donkey & cap seals should be available on Ebay. I don't have any extra spouts or seal kits.

Let me know I'm in Evergreen. I just missed one of my kids last night they live around DU. I'll keep you posted if one of them comes home for the weekend.

Re: Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
Wait, so what was the verdict? The Nato ones aren't any good? They leak all the time, or just with the pour spout?
I have seen them here, but never priced them. If they can be make leak proof, then I might pickup a few.

Looking for military style 5 gallon jerry can with spout
In my research. Mixed reviews on the metal cans. For my use the plastic scepter military ones seemed better. Picked one up from rob c and took up 2.5 hours of his Saturday morning chatting it up ;). The can I picked up is perfect for what I need. This is similar to the one I picked up http://www.everydaysurvival.us/media/ca ... fc-gas.jpg
