Better than anything is a 6pt box end wrench.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Not having enough clearance for the front drive shaft... I noticed that the drive shaft has been hitting the oil pan. I had thought about that in the back of my mind when I first put the bigger oil pan on and installed the engine. It's ok I guess.. Going to pull the oil pan and replace it with a stock pan take the Dana 30 out and replace it with a 44 clean the engine compartment and re-paint.

After switching to a tubing wrench (HF no less) I haven't had an issue since.

Yeah, I do remember that mine seem more loose than when new, so perhaps it's time to replace, at least that really common size.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Installed new shocks on my F150 and what should have been an hour job turned into a day long slug fest. The front passenger side shock mounting bolt broke in the lower control arm, it was VERY tight in there with many things that didn't need cutting; brake line, ABS sensor, rubber boots, etc.

You know it sucks when my mother in law barrows my 2010 truck and it ends up getting stolen. Yes this happened to me today.

On the way to the breakfast yesterday.....
Apearantly the gril is just a touch to close to the radiator
Thanks to Rox and Landshark for being our rescue team and picking us up.
After, thanks to a AAA for loading it up and bringing it home
Now I have a reason to cruise the yards for a brand new to us radiator. (Truth is I was never all that thrilled about how we had routed the hoses anyway)

Sounds like the front range was littered with disabled Broncos yesterday morning. LOL.
I'll just add that the Dodd-Frank Mortgage lending reform rules suck!

Discovering that the wicked good deal you got on some chromoly front axle shafts netted you shafts for a F250, not a F150. Kicking myself for not measuring sooner. Grrrrr.

I need to look at the outers a little more. The passengers inner is an inch too long and the drivers is a hair shorter.

Hmm never knew that. But I can see it tho. Being the spring perch for the leafs on 3/4ton fronts. Maybe the pumpkin is offset a little more.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
I spent a lot of time on Mr.N's site. He has all the axle specs for most year D44s & D60's. There are so many differences in axle length. Its part of the reason I'm abandoning the hybrid axle. That sux Justin. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/images/Da ... s_Ford.gif

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
The good news is that I got them cheaply enough that I can probably get my money back out of them. I'll probably just run the stock axles to get it back on the road and save for an upgrade later. I wish RCVs weren't 15 million dollars. Gunni, thanks for the link. I found that over on Pirate yesterday-very helpful in figuring out what I actually had.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Yeah, the Mr N site is a good one. Tons of info on Dana axles, especially the evolution of the D44. I figured everyone knew about it. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.htmlJustin, I assume you have a set of stock axles. If you don't, I have an "loaner" set to get you on the road, just need a u-joint.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Three months I've been waiting for my title and VIN history paperwork to come back from Denver. Today, I finally remember to call them and ask them about it. 3-4 weeks is the norm, I am told. Have to resubmit everything along with a copy of the cancelled check.

Re: We need a "You know what sux?" thread....
Samsung refrigerators. Two years ago, less than 12 hours after installation, our fridge malfunctioned and dumped water all over the first floors overnight. We had to have the flooring in two rooms replaced.
This morning, the replacement fridge is in the kitchen making a noise which makes me think it is not much longer for this world.
Do not buy Samsung fridges. They suck.

Bummer!!! Yeah, stick with cell phones!
LG does make a good fridge tho. Or at least the one we owned for 6 trouble-free years was good.
