Quick Trip to Penrose
I tagged along with my buddies to Penrose yesterday. I didn't bring my bronco. Even with 42's and D60's I feel I need to figure out a cheap EFI before I try that trail so I was just a passenger. Was still pretty cool. My first time down there. Did get a little bronco action, the owner of Bronco Hut was there and ran some the trail with us. My buddy, in his typical fashion, went over twice, other one broke a Rockwell axle shaft and a scratch free Rubicon just about didn't make it out (tie rod, front axles, rear driveshaft and window. Few pictures because I'm bored and its raining....

Yeah, that's not for the faint of heart! What a cool area tho! Some cool rides, but I have seen that bronco not "stay the trail" in that particular area and it's left a sour taste in my mouth.
Did you see a red 4-runner in there? Not sure which day my buddy was there, but he sent me pics.

Re: Quick Trip to Penrose
I've been through at night, rainy and in my buddies Toyota buggy. Your right, not for the faint of heart. No winch control & broke both front Bobby longfields. a peice of wire jammed into the plug while winching is no fun. Hell of a trail though. I wouldnt mind taking Patriot (?, long side) in, just to fool around. The series of waterfalls in is definatly a hoot! Ofcoarse any trail that has permanent winch points, you know is going to fun

Re: Quick Trip to Penrose
Independence is the drop in(also fun to drive out of), patriot is the hard out and liberty is the "easy" long way. I've done them all directions except for dropping in patriot. That one would not be fun dropping in. Liberty looks harder than it is. I've driven my bronco there, ran it in then out and driven back home again. Locked front and rear on 35s taking your time most people would be fine on liberty.
