Still having a broken bronco and broken mustang in the garage.

Great news! This afternoon the fridge stopped working altogether. I called Samsung and explained to them the update to the situation and they promptly informed me that I was out of warranty. Despite purchasing the fridge 23 months ago and being out of the 1 year full replacement but well within the 5 year parts and labor coverage, the person on the phone simply repeated over and over again "you're out of warranty."

This is the third Samsung appliance I've had issues with. The TV was first. The washing machine next. No more Samsung anything in my house. Ever.

LG is just as bad. We had a washing machine that went out at day 363. They set an appointment to get it fixed like 3 days later, guy shows up and says it will be $75 to look at it because I am out of warranty. Guess who went off the deep end? I won't buy LG anymore either

Going to the drive in a few weeks ago with the wife. Get a mile or so from the house and the throttle sticks open, fan gets into the shoud (put on that morning), cuts shroud and destroys fan. Limp it home.

Replace fan, fix shroud, get her all back together only to have a horrible noise from the engine. Checked exhaust temps on the headers and find one plenum on the intake considerably cooler. Rebuild carb only to have same results but the noise went away with a timing adjustment. Finally get around to changing the oil only to find metal shavings in the pan... Wish I would've started there.

Haven't tore it down yet but I am going to try and pick up a '97 Mountaineer 5.0 this weekend. I'll tear the "new" one down enough to replace gaskets through the heads, t-stat, water pump, rear main, serpentine, etc. Redo the harness and get the ecu to EFI Guy. A lot of work before she hits the road again.

That really sucks but at least it went out in style.

Taking your car to the track, and having it run a quarter of a second slower than last year, with the same combo.

l think they get used to staying in the garage, and get lazy. Mines not quite as fast as yours...do you still make it up there?

I went last september for the first time since 2009. Havent been back yet and not sure if i'll make it this year. Need new slicks and it's not in the budget.

Going to Discount Tire to have them fix a slow leak on a tire and them telling you they can't touch them because the date code on the two front tires is from '04. Tires have about 85% tread and no dry rot and have always been garaged. I should have just shanked those tires last year and claimed 'road hazard'.

Yeah, Rob. IIRC, you have the older style BFG mudders too (non KM2). Maybe we should do what the old commercial says and throw them through the front window like the old lady does. I'm pretty 'not happy.'

Most of your non-chain tire shops will still help you out regardless of age. Just tell them it is an off-road only vehicle.

I can understand potential liability associated with bald bulging donuts running down the road. But when you're talking about something that could see as low as 4k miles per year, it's a little hard to stomach buying new tires when the warranty and services expire before the tires do.

I can't tell you how this news sucks to hear. When I get back stateside I'd be more than happy to build harnesses for you to keep the funds to fight this coming in.

Garry, sorry to hear about your wife's circumstances. That is a lot to deal with mentally and dealing with all the practicalities.
