Clutch rod hole
Anyone know how big the hole in the floor board for the clutch rod is? The rubber grommet on mine came out in pieces. I'm replacing that panel as part of the rust repairs. I think it is 1.25" but it could be 1 1/8".
I was going to call the Bronco Hut but got too busy at work.
Second question, what's the best way to cut said hole?

Re: Clutch rod hole
No idea what the official number is, but id just use whatever makes the grommet fit and give adequate room.

Re: Clutch rod hole
I don't have the replacement grommet yet. I want to get the floors in this weekend. Work is going to have me traveling a ton starting in a week. I guess I could go 1 1/8 and be OK. I have it centered where it needs to be so I'm probably good. Just easier to cut the hole while the panel is out.

Re: Clutch rod hole
Since the top side is sealed with bed liner I measured the bottom. Not the easiest place to get a good measurement but it looks like 1-1/4" on mine.

Re: Clutch rod hole
Thanks! I'm guessing a hole saw is my best friend here?

Re: Clutch rod hole
That is the only way I would get a round hole unless you have a step bit that big.

Re: Clutch rod hole
Just checked the project bronco 1 3/8. I used a hole saw on the 1/2 cab floor replacement. But I think it was to big for my rod boot. 1 1/4 might be better.

Re: Clutch rod hole
Thanks. HD is only a few miles from my house. If they don't have one I'll make the trip to HF. Just want to make sure the grommet will fit.
