1969 survivor - SOLD
1969 Ford Bronco U15, 21,xxx on odometer, 0/unknown miles on title 302 V8, 3 on the tree, 4.10 open differentials, ranch hand spare tire mount This truck is as original, clean, and rust free as you are likely to find. Cowl/inner fenders & A-pillar/door posts are very clean & solid, with no signs of rust. Quarter panel seam & rear door posts extremely clean. Driver’s floor is rusty & passenger outer rocker shows signs of rust. Passenger floor has some rust, but is solid. Inner rockers are very solid. The hood has 2 small 1.5” rust spots/paint failures. The truck has been repainted metallic green, over the original paint. The paint is not perfect, I’ve included lots of pictures. I have the original side marker reflectors that were removed. Original rubber floor mat in good shape. Seats & door panels were recovered by the previous owner. Doors open & close easily. Door locks & keys work. Headliner, wiper cover, sun visors, dash & dash pad in excellent shape. All heat, fan, wiper/washers, turn signals, headlights work. Tail gate, spare tire carrier & rear hatch, all in working order. Runs very strong, starts very easily. Manual choke cable broken. Carb needs tuned/adjusted, stumbles some at idle. 3 on the tree shifts very easily & smoothly. Clutch works well. Hubs lock & unlock, 4 wheel drive high & low work. Suspension & steering drive well. Brakes & parking brake are functional. Tires should be replaced. Lots of pictures here: http://s245.photobucket.com/user/c-w-a/ ... 9%20Bronco$12,000 firm. Could easily be a reliable daily driver or solid start to a Luber or resto-mod.

It's super fun to drive too. 4.10s & stock tires are a blast.
Sale possibly pending. Wow.

Man that sure looks good! Just wish it was an auto and I'd be all over it. Best of luck on the sale!

Re: 1969 survivor - SOLD
Sold. Loaded & hauled off today. Went to Velocity Restorations in Pensacola, FL. I suppose I'd have rather it gone to an enthusiast. But they offered full price 10 minutes after listing it on Early Bronco Drivers on Facebook.

Re: 1969 survivor - SOLD
It all went better than I ever could have expected. And thanks to all who lent me advice on the market value of the truck.
It was such a sweet truck. I really liked driving it around town, and loved the 3 on the tree. That is motivation for me to get the 66 running and driving, hopefully this weekend.

Re: 1969 survivor - SOLD
I'm a huge fan of the three-on-the-tree. When I swapped mine to the NP435 in my '74, it lost some of the fun!

Re: 1969 survivor - SOLD
They must have had a team of personnel working on it around the clock to do a complete restoration in such a short time.

Re: 1969 survivor - SOLD
They seem to have it down to a science.
I'm just surprised the market supports this. But there must be enough guys ready to drop $50-$60K on an old truck, really, with little upgraded. No pics of a driveline, but it lists 302/C4. So $70K doesn't buy a Coyote, exotic suspension, maybe not even EFI.
I just saw one of Velocity's employees post up pics of a freshly painted frame & chassis. Someone asked what it was painted with, and the employee's response was "single stage urethane". About as simple & cheap as it gets. Totally adequate, and what I'll do to my 66 & my Plymouth. But nothing special.
Boggles the mind.
