Going to use same cam as Phil with GT40P heads with BH headers (the fit / spark plug clearance isn't an issue).

Didn't get to work on it much over the holidays but got this installed and wired up.

I still need to wire in the auto-dim cancel function (when in reverse) and maybe a door switch so the courtesy light comes on automatically.

I don't know some sort of closely guarded secret. I've been trying to find one for a couple years now in the yards or on eBay without luck.

So, I gave in and bought it from a guy on CB.com. I think he may still have some.

Phil found one in the yard with the integrated compass but no temp sender. He might have paid "slightly" less than me.

Right here. I think '77s still used this connector. You want the black-red wire.

Well today we pretty well determined that I no longer have a Plan B for the Bronco Celebration.

I was counting on the old reliable 5.0 if my 351 didn't get done in time.

Now Plan A is the only plan.

Yes, it was a craigslist used Explorer motor which looked super clean so it was installed as is.

Not 100% certain what the verdict is but I have been troubleshooting it since September when one rowdy evening had me hard on the skinny pedal.

Thought it was fuel or ignition but have pretty well ruled that out.

P-heads and BC headers deterred me from completing the compression and / or leak down tests. Phil wanted to press ahead but I lost interest.

It's been a great motor but no time to look back..........351 full speed ahead !

Got the exhaust and headers out today (at least a week later than planned)

Started pulling the 5.0, hope to have it out next Saturday morning
