Luggage Rack, Dana 20 shifter, Bumperetts

Postby mickphatmac » Wed Apr 27, 2016 7:29 am

I have a roof rack that measures 3' X 4'. Very nice, needs glue on sides cleaned off where "vinyl wood" was stuck on.
Comes with another roof/luggage rack and parts about 75% complete.
$100 OBO

2 front bumper Bumperetts
$25 OBO

'66 STYLE Dana 20 gearshift with boot
$$50

These were all parts that I bought and didn't use or came with parts I bought and this is how they were listed when I bought them .

I will list them on craigslist this weekend.

Can you measure the bolt spacing on the shifter boot. If its original, I might be interested, but it looks different than the ones I have.

Thanks

Went out and looked, that boot doesn't look the same as mine.

Are there any '66's that can post pics of their shifter?

Actually it doesn't look right. I noticed the knob was different.

I haven't taken my shifter out, so I don't know what the linkage looks like. But I bought a 'new' shaft and it's threaded on both ends (knob & t-case). I can't tell from your pics, if the shaft can be unscrewed from the base.

Mostly, I was interested in the boot, it looks nicer than either of mine, but it doesn't look right.

Here's mine. My shifter boot is not original. The original one was nothing more than the outermost piece of plastic that bolted to the floor. The rest was toast, but the knob doesn't look right either. The bottom of my shifter is also threaded if I remember correctly. I pulled it off when I replaced the transmission.

The bottom of the shaft on mine looks like it could have had a T handle spring lever on it at one time. It is welded to the lower mechanism and I think the overall length is probably shorter than yours!
Ha! :):):)

Well, in any case, I don't know exactly what it is from but surely it would be from something early that did not have the lower indicator housing on it. I've never seen one with the handle knob designated for four-wheel-drive high and low and then a lower shift indicator - Redundant.

See, Redundant!
They must've used the shift knob for lots of vehicles because they're all over eBay!

I guess that's why I thought the knob on the one I'm selling was special?

Oh well, everything is OBO, just let me know.
