Re: project viperwolfe is starting
I have a couple thousand miles on it now. It did surprisingly well on it's maiden voyage. Engine ran cool, lots of power. No leaks until I smacked the front diff into the oil pan. Gas mileage was good, 12-14 depending on speed. 9.5 at 80 mph into a 30 mph headwind.

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Well it looks like I wacked the oil pan with the D44 again in Moab. Just a little seepage happening so I JB welded it. I'll take it off and fix it good when I'm ready, maybe. I did pickup some 4 1/2" front springs to help. Now to find some good shocks.

Steel pan and tall bump stops. The shocks really suck.

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Got my replacement headlight or should I say headlights? They sent me the whole kit. I blacked out the trim rings and added the cover to the spare tire. Oh, and I fixed my broken left turn cancelling arm with Shawn's favorite tool, a zip tie. 20160520_154153.jpg 20160520_154132.jpg

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Cool deal on the lights, now you have a spare for next time one breaks
Where does the CCB sticker go now that you put the cover on the spare ?

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
Bought a fan shroud today then started modifying it. It was only 1/2" too wide for the explorer radiator. I'll see how it works next week when we break 100.

Hey, I think I see Bronco 1 in the background. How are you going to drive them both back to Colorado?

Re: project viperwolfe is starting
I was thinking, drive one 1/4 mile, stop, walk back to the other then drive it 1/4 mile past the first one. Repeat as required.
