So I've been searching CL for an 96-98 explorer donor and found this a 96 Eddie Bauer isn't she a Beauty !! 230K miles A/T, so the plan is to take all parts needed for the EFI conversion,O2 bungs, serpentine set up, GT40 heads, A/T & cooler, rear disc brakes along with some other odds n ends parts. Anything I'm missing that I should take?

Thanks to everyone on the solid feedback/info as I think I'm heading in the right direction with using the 302 first.

On a side note anyone recognize this greenie substance in pic #3 it sure make the cab smell funny

If you leave the 8.8 whole you can sell it for about 200 bucks to jeep guys.

$200 is at the low end of what the Jeepers will pay, depends on gearing and whether it has any traction device in it, it could go $300.

Hang on to the block, a roller builder is worth something too.

2 days of working in the garage and I think I have all the parts needed for the 302 conversion. All in all it when pretty smooth the only real issue was removing the manifold as 2 of the front bolts snapped off leaving 1 bolt in each side of the GT40 head's, on a side note it had the bigger 1/2" hole's . I will just let Western Motors remove them. I'm glad I didn't go about getting all these parts at a JY as I used just about ever tool in my arsenal! removing the headers sure was interesting as the tubing is crimped everywhere from the factory to get them to fit.
I will spend the next few week cleaning, sandblasting all the parts getting them ready for this spring.
