Thanks for the compliments. I am actually making progress on finishing it. Getting around to replacing stuff i originally wanted from the beginning. Tonight I swapped the antennae out for a new one. The original was a little rusty and didn't stay up very well, also added a "y" to the cable to run to another center console stereo here soon.

I will be using the old anntenea on the 72 since that one disintegrated when I removed the fender lol.

Will start posting progress pics here soon of the rest of the stuff Iam doing.

On another note i can definitely feel the effects of the larger tires. I can probably live with it but will probably regear at some point.

Finally finished the interior. Got the seats recovered in original vinyl and houndstooth. Added Tuffy console, nice head unit, kick panel speaker enclosures, rear cans and used my old sub box with amp.

I struggled with the rear speaker placement and compromised with the cans. Didn't want to cut holes or have an ugly square box with a speaker in it back there. I can live with the cans for now as they are out of the way. I did dynomat the inside of them it helped the sound tremendously.

Had the arm rest covered in the same 76 vinyl as my seats. Had to buy over a yard of it and it was expensive but think it was worth it.







Pre planning all my wires and making a sub frame for the console was worth it. I was able to position the console exactly where I wanted.

Now if Colorado would drop the emissions requirements for 76 vehicles I could install a/c and be a happier camper

Making some upgrades, additions and other odd and ends I never got to.

Starting with new 4.11 drop out to see how I like it before I regear the front.

I just read the entire build very nice work! with plenty of pictures it really give me a good idea of what I'm getting myself into.

Got the new center section in. Noticeable difference but not earth shattering. Definitely don't need to get on it as much to get going. Turning 3000 rpm's at 65 mph. Will need a new speedo gear as at 65 speedo says iam going around 80. Will run it for another month or two before I decide to keep and regear the front or go 3.7's or 3.9. I think it will be fine as I don't do a ton of highway driving and honestly the 302 needs the revs.

For reference: 4.11 gears with 31" tires and C4

Nice! Let me know when you figure out how many teeth speedo gear you need. I have one you can have if it happens to fit your needs.

Making progress. Got my tranny cooler mounted but need to wire it up. Finished plumbing the master cylinder and bench bled it as well. Almost done with the hydro boost but need a couple more fittings Monday.

Going to pull the upper plenium as I think I need to tap the lower Egr hole as my freeze plug I used probably popped out. And I need to cap the old brake booster vacuum line anyway.

What Ian that fancy plastic treatment ?

I'm curious what your pedal will feel like running the flexible lines versus the hard lines. I know you can't isolate them since you made the jump to hydro boost, but if you feel they are spongy I'd like to know.

Very nice work! So which master cylinder did you end up going with? And are those stainless lines a kit or did you piece them together. Asking because I just picked up a 94 Astro van booster.

Did you do the flex lines off the master locally or just order a set online? Im thinking I want to change mine to flex lines.

Yes they are pre-made from aeroequip. Product is called offroad brake line. They have a bunch of different lengths.

She is alive! Brakes are night and day better. Steering no longer wanders when going straight and is so much easier to turn. Have a few things to tie up but over all feels good.







Still need to wire up the fan and deal with the throttle and kick-down cables not getting full throttle. Ps still does a little whining but isn't leaking and no ill effects from the power steering and hydroboost.
