Where is the best place to “wire” my fuel pump?

I will be mounting it on the frame rail very close to my rear main tank and grounding it there as well.
Where is the best and EASIEST place to run the hot wire?

So can I run the hot wire from the pump up to the “I” terminal of the starter solenoid? Will that give me constant power in the on position?

That is a fine pick up point for the wiring. I'd fuse it, or use a relay depending on the amps of the pump. You might consider a fuel shut off switch that is used in case of an accident. A heavy impact will trip the switch and shut off your fuel pump. They are used on lots of factory fuel injection systems. I'm sure you can find one in most salvage yards.

I may have one in my box o stuff. I'll check but, they are cheap at a junk yard and you can cut off the connector too.

You may want to measure voltage off that post. For some reason I believe it only provides about 9volts as it's running.

That is correct you don't want to use that I terminal. come from ignition hot to a relay to carry the load of the fuel pump.
