I'll keep that in mind for when I go to do that. Thanks!D&D72 wrote:I did the same as Eck. Got a cardboard template if you want it.
Yeah, I was thinking of ordering something that I could cut and stick to the cowl prior to welding it. No chance of getting it back in there without removing everything from under the dash if I don't.landshark wrote:I would be careful welding with that stock insulation in there. It will easily catch fire and so will the wiring. At the very least try to stuff some fiberglass welding blanket over it but that stuff likes to burn.
Can’t help with the computer location [emoji51]
Would love a pic. I think in my car, I just need to move one of the heater control cables in order to make the Escape box fit. I'll do that when I rebuild the heater box.Mitche11 wrote:Bronco Hut sold me an aluminum piece shaped to hold my EEC. I mounted my computer under the cowl at the top of the diagonal sloping part on on the passenger side. I just used screws to attach the panel, and the insulation kept everything nice and snug. Simple and effective.

Thanks. I haven't. It doesn't help that I'm color blind and it's hard for me to see shades at times. I haven't rolled it out yet (but I did start it yesterday) so I'll see what that looks like. I see this issue with most Hot Ginger Metallic paint. It almost always has a different tinge. D&D72 and I were talking about it at the last breakfast.Strike2 wrote:Hey Adam,
The paint job looks great nice work!
Matching paint is tough are you able to roll the cab out in the sunlight vs. florescent garage light to see if the paint tone changes? I use Auto Paint Supply for my paint its a small locally owned store at 5911 Washington Street Denver Co 80216 (303-292-4833) both Ted and Emo are easy to talk to and will answer any questions you have, they really helped me out when I started out painting.

I'll look into it. It does have the correct year for mine so that would be cool to run these.landshark wrote:
You can run any plates for the year of your bronco or other vehicle as long as the plate has the year stamped or printed on it. You have to carry the actual plates with you. You have to fill out a form and record it with the dmv or license place. It’s free to do so
Sweet. Probably will do that then. Thanks!rt9 wrote:Just got mine last week.
I renewed my collector plates which I now keep in the glove box with their registration.
There is a form on the state website you can download for "Date of Manufacture" plates and either sent back in via mail or take it to DMV, 1881 Pierce St., Lakewood, CO - there is no cost for the alternate registration and it only took about 20 minutes when I went in.
