Where do folks get their bottles swapped/refilled? I'm on the north-end of Denver so would prefer that. Also, has anyone had any issues with a store giving them a hard time for transporting a bottle of C25 in the back of an SUV?

I picked up my bottle off of CL over a year ago and need to get it filled/swapped. It has the the contents sticker from Airgas on it. Not sure if that will cause issues but it is not a leased bottle.

I transport my bottles in my personal vehicle all the time, and haven't had anyone question me just make sure to secure it well goes without saying.
I like using this company http://www.gasesandarc.com/ they have always treated me great for welding gas and filling my CO2 bottle although I've heard there is a place in Longmont?. The only issue you may have in the swap is if your tank is out of "test date" then they may charge you a testing fee.

Transporting inert gas shouldn't be an issue. But the bottle would make a very good projectile. I think the last time I filled my bottle was at an Airgas facility.

The only concern should be protecting the valve so the bottle does not become a rocket.

Acetylene must be transported upright.

Bringing this back to the top. Since I finished most of my welding over a year ago, I finally ran out of gas helping another Bronco brother out. Went to look up Gases hours only to find they got bought by airgas.

If I'm going to buy from airgas, I'll just go to the one that is up the highway from me but I've always heard they are significantly more expensive.

So where are you getting your bottles filed/swapped these days?

I usually use the General Air at I25 and 8th.

Found Buckeye. They are by K&K. Best part is they are open on Saturdays. Less than $60 for a bottle swap on a 125cf bottle. Super nice folks and I was in and out in less than 10 min.
