Work day at Roxborough State Park
Every so often I get to combine the love of Broncos with working in the Park. A few years back CCB pulled some old tanks out of various spots in the park for recycling. Link here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6421&hilit=roxborough&start=30This time I'm looking to put a crew together for some back country logging. I need to harvest some trees to build buck & rail style fence for the front side of the park. This isn't a trail run or 4x4 rock crawling trip, but it is an opportunity to drive your Bronco into an area that is normally off limits to any vehicle beside a park vehicle. The trail that we'll be accessing will have vegetation encroaching, so if you aren't into Colorado pin striping, then this may not be for you. It is currently dry, but a working 4x4 system is required so we don't tear up the area anymore than we need to. I'm thinking a crew of 5-10 folks w/ Broncos and if anyone has a small trailer that they think will fit down a narrow track behind their bronco would be great. I should be able to start dropping trees this weekend so we have a stack to start dragging or hauling out. I'll have a couple of logging chains for dragging and I'll have my off road trailer to stack trees into. August weekends look good for planning, I prefer Saturdays since I'm already working but I can do a Sunday as well. Let me know by voting on a weekend if you are able to help. Aug 8-9 Aug 15-16 Aug 22-23 (Rubicon Run if it is still happening) Aug 29-30 Thanks!

Re: Work day at Roxborough State Park
I can most likely do it any Saturday but the 22nd. I can’t do Sundays.

I would likely be down for that date. Sorry for my delayed response, I was waiting for a date.

Re: Work day at Roxborough State Park
Cool. I'm likely down if work doesn't get in the way...I have some deadlines coming up. Just waiting for them to hit. If work doesn't get in the way, I would appreciate if people abide by the 6' rule and if you're within 6', mask up! I have to be a little more careful than most.

Re: Work day at Roxborough State Park
Quick update, looks like corridor clearing that we’ve been doing will prevent any pin striping. So bring out the trailer queens!

Re: Work day at Roxborough State Park
Is there a plan? Place and meetup time? Do we need to bring any tools, etc.?
